A work of art to remember your animal companion.
When Midi, my rabbit, died, I needed a way to honour him and keep a place for him in my new home. I created his altar around memories of our years together. That experience became Love Altar, so I could tell your story too.
Each piece begins with your story.
Drawing on floriography, the symbolic language of flowers, I choose blooms that reflect your companion’s personality and convey protection and companionship.
Your initials come together in a small heraldic emblem, while the inside of the doors holds a meaningful memory. These details surround their ceramic figure, so you can recognise something of them and your life together.
Carved wood, painting and gilded details draw on devotional, Gothic and Modernist art. Each altar is made to commission, to find its own place in your home.

Your altar can stand on a table, chest of drawers or shelf, or be hung on the wall using the fitted hanging system.
HOW TO COMMISSION YOUR LOVE ALTAR

Get in touch. Tell me who you would like the piece to remember. I’ll send you the commission details and confirm availability.​

Booking and conversation. If you would like to go ahead, a 50% deposit secures your commission before work begins.We’ll then have a short conversation about your companion’s personality, habits and the memories you shared. I’ll also ask for reference photographs, to be sent within the following week, to help develop the sketch and ceramic figure​.

Shaping the design. You’ll receive a sketch showing the main elements and their meaning. One round of amendments is included before you approve the design.​

Making your altar. Once you have approved the design, the painting and the making of the ceramic figure can begin.​

Preparing for its arrival. I’ll let you know when your Love Altar is complete. The remaining balance is payable before collection or dispatch. If you would rather discover the finished piece when you open the box, we can keep it a surprise. If you would prefer to see photographs beforehand, just let me know.
TIMESCALE
Please allow 8–12 weeks from approval of the design. Before you book, I’ll confirm the expected timescale based on my studio schedule.
If you have a special date in mind, please mention it when you enquire.
Price
€1,500, including applicable taxes.
Delivery is quoted separately according to the destination. You are also welcome to collect your piece from my Madrid studio.
If you have something in mind that calls for a different composition or additional elements, we’ll discuss these and agree any changes to the price before you book.
